css_params=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 >Burmilla, the cat with the shimmering silver coat<\/h2>\n<p >The <strong>Burmilla<\/strong> cat is the result of an accidental cross between a Burmese and a Persian.<\/p>\n<p >Chronicles report that an English noblewoman, Baroness <em>Miranda Von Kirchberg,<\/em> purchased a male Persian Chinchilla (i.e., silver-white) named <em>Jemari Sanquist<\/em> as a pet for her husband.<\/p>\n<p ><em>Sanquist<\/em>, by a fortuitous chance, escaped the control of his humans and between raids, met a female Burmese lilac,<em> Lilla Faberg\u00e9<\/em>, with whom he mated.<\/p>\n<p >The fruit of this \u201cfeline love story\u201d was a litter of four females.<\/p>\n<p >The puppies, who came to light in England on September 11, 1981, had the physical characteristics of their mother Burmese and a coat similar to their father&#8217;s but in the bright, shimmering shade of silver.<\/p>\n<p >Hence the name Burmilla, which is a contraction of Burmese and Chinchilla.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"Dall-accoppiamento-fortuito-all-allevamento-della-razza\" >From accidental mating to breeding the breed<\/h4>\n<p >The stunning beauty of these pups did not leave the breeders indifferent.<\/p>\n<p >In 1984 the \u201c<strong>Burmilla Cat Club<\/strong>\u201d was founded and a breeding program was undertaken from then on.<\/p>\n<p >Recognition by the<strong> \u201cFiFe\u201d (\u201cF\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale F\u00e9line\u201d)<\/strong> came in 1996.<\/p>\n<p >So, the<strong> Burmilla <\/strong>is the last of the feline breeds in chronological order to be placed on the Cat Fanciers&#8217;
